The Power Called Faith


My Saviour

In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and
frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident,
certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have
deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.


Yes, there will be trouble in this world, sickness, disease, financial distress, sadness, pain, emotional turmoil...tribulations give us the opportunity to get to our ultimate success. And many trials we must go through for the testing of our faith. With faith we know we have a Father that has already overcome these tribulations and conquered them for us. By faith we have confidence that He will turn our situation around.

1 John 4:4 "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world".

1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

1 John 5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

First of all we must understand the Jesus is the Great Physician...He is our provider, our protector, our counselor, our advocate, the lover of our soul. Believing these words, how then could we have anything but faith, knowing God will always come through for us.

So Let's delve into this faith thing a little closer.


Faith or trust seems obsolete in today's world, but the truth is, without faith nothing can get accomplished. Everything we receive in our lives took faith before it arrived. It took faith for you to get your new car, or that new house or job, but you thought you got it by means of your own doings. You had an idea in your mind, believed you could achieve it, and sought it out.

Now, if we were to place that same faith in God, knowing He has the ability to make thinks work out just the way He wants them, the results would be astounding. Faith is simply putting your total confidence in something or someone. Scripture says "It 's the substance of things hoped for". When there is confidence in the truth of the matter, knowing it will take place in your life, faith makes it happen.

God made all things out of faith! Faith is the key! God had faith when He said, "Let there be light," and faith made light. He put faith in His idea and the effects were communicated through His Word to make it come into existence. The incorruptible Word of God equals faith!

There is power in faith, for when faith reaches it's highest peak, God knows you love Him and trust Him with all your heart, and all your mind and all your soul. With this type of faith there is nothing God won't and can't do for you. You want the power of God in you so He can do His most miraculous works.


"Behold, what I have seen to be good and fitting is for one to eat and drink, and to find enjoyment in all the labor in which he labors under the sun all the days which God gives him--for this is his [allotted] part. Also, every man to whom God has given riches and possessions, and the power to enjoy them and to accept his appointed lot and to rejoice in his toil--this is the gift of God [to him].

I love this scripture, don't you. He gives us riches and possessions and the power to enjoy them. Hallallujah!!! Are you finding enjoyment in your work, the job has given you to do? Are you enjoying all the riches and possessions He has given you? Or have you failed to receive your gift.

Are you sick or brokenhearted so you cannot find fulfillment in this scripture? If so, you will need a powerful faith to overcome. You will need the faith of God.

First then, let's begin planting seed of faith so we can get to that place God has promised in His word.

Planting Seeds Of Faith

Scripture says to treat faith like a seed, plant it in the soil of your heart and let it come out of your mouth. Write it on the tablet of your heart, flood your mind with it and let the seed of faith grow.

"This is what the kingdom of God is like; A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. All by itself the soil produces grain - first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come" Mark 4:26-28.

There is a proccess a seed must go through to get to the initial end. Planting a seed gives birth, a new beginning. When this seed (idea) is cultivated by education and training, tiny shoots begin to sprout. Cultivating the ground promotes growth and the idea develops. (First the idea, then the vision.) When the crop (idea) is ready to be gathered it will be mature and ready to reap great rewards.

"Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruits" Matthew 12:33.

You are the tree, and you will produce either good or bad fruit by what you feed it and how you care for it. If you keep the soil rich with fertilizer, water your fields and care for them, you will produce sweet and juicy fruit. But if you plant it in infertile soil and neglect it, your tree will dry up and rot.

When you let God's Words absorb into your heart and you have faith in them, you have planted them in rich soil, and as you learn daily you fertilize them. Praise and glorifying God waters the ground and saturates the soil to promote growth. Love distributes the nutrients to keep the weeds out, then your work and admiration will produce a heavenly crop.

On the other hand, if any of these things are omitted, your tree (you) and your desires will produce rotten fruit and negatives will enter in, all the evils of this world will choke the promises of God, and your fruit will be bad.

The farmer plants his seeds then trusts a great harvest will be reaped. He doesn't dig them up every few days to see how they are doing, he just has faith they will bring a notable yield. His faith and devotion to his work will be repaid with an exceptional return.

"It is like a grain of mustard seed, which when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be sown in the earth: But when it is sown, it, groweth up, and shootheth out great branches; so that the fowels of the air may lodge under the shadow of it." Mark 4:31-32.

When you begin planting seeds of faith into your heart, that seed will take root and gradually expand and grow into a more mature and advanced state. Every time you believe God for something, He will show you His mysteries, little by little, and every time He does your faith will rise up within.

When we know something for sure in our heart, we believe it's true. We know that if we live in the northern part of the country there are four seasons. We know there will be snow in the winter, green grass in the spring, warm weather in the summer, and the trees lose their leaves in the fall.

We may choose to live in this area because we like this type of change, and we have faith in the fact that we can go sledding in the winter and swimming in the summer. We expect the seasons to change without question...we just know in our heart it shall be.

This is the type of faith we need when God tells us He is going to do something for us. We must know, without doubt, that when He says our lives are going to change for the better, we can lodge ourselves in that fact. When the smallest seed of faith is planted and you begin acting on it, it will sprout and shoot out superior developments. For faith without works is dead.


So how do we get this faith?

Faith is a spiritual fruit given to every human who is born again. When you begin working with that faith, by reading, meditating, and feeding the words of Scripture into our heart, it produces a power called faith.

(Galatians 5:22). And it its by free grace (God's unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ's salvation) through faith. (Not of your own doing, it comes not through your own striving) but it is the gift of God. (Ephesians 2:8). Your faith has the ability to produce the same miraculous results that Jesus produced in His earthly ministry (John 14:12).

Scripture says that "Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God." Faith comes when we listen to God's Words and believe them. It grows when we act on what He says without hesitation. Faith activates by knowing that just one Word from God can change our lives forever.

Faith is the Key! Its the most Important thing in life. If you want answers to your prayers, you will remain true to faith. Christ dwells in our hearts through faith. (Ephesians3:17). Neglecting to believe that nothing is impossible for God, your hopes and dreams will crumble and fall.

Galatians 2:16 explains this way! "Yet we know that a man is justified or reckoned righteous and in right standing with God (doing what's right) not by works of the Law, but (only) through faith and (absolute) reliance on and adherence to and trust in Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One). (Therefore) even we (ourselves) have believed on Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the Law (for) we cannot be justified by any observance of the ritual of the Law given by Moses), because by keeping legal rituals and by works no human being can ever be justified (declared righteous and put in right standing with God.)"

In order to become right standing with God, we must love who we are and what we were created to be. Keeping the ritual of the Law, we continue to condemn ourselves and bind ourselves with guilt, fear and shame. We hold ourselves in contempt and in punishment for Adam's sin in the garden. It is only by faith that we can be set free from the anger and hate that we hold against who we are and Who created our being.

The gift of healing is a free gift of God through ones faith. All healing requires faith. A person shall receive healing according to their faith. This is evident in the account of the woman who touched Jesus' robe and was healed because, "thy faith hath made thee whole," Luke 8:48.

I heard a man on television once say "I don't believe God would keep us out of heaven just because we don't believe in Jesus Christ." That caught my attention. No, God wouldn't, He says He's not willing to lose any of His children. But you keep yourself from going to heaven. It is only through the forgiveness of sins...forgiving others, ourselves and God, that we can make it through heavens gates. It is only though Jesus Christ that we are able to forgive, which enables us to have faith in God's plan for our lives.

Failure to believe in the Son God sent to save us, there is no faith, no forgiveness, no hope for our eternal home. In the depths of our inner being we will hold anger and shame for the sins of our human flesh. It is Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior Who cleanses and makes us whole again. It is by faith that He will wash us clean so we can become right doing, right thinking, and right in our own eyes, so we will know we are right in God's eyes.

Faith is simply agreeing with God that He gave you life and gave it to you in abundance. When we unquestionably believe in His promises, therein lies the power of faith.

Faith is Awesome! It preserves us and gives us strength when trouble comes, and when the final decision is made to stand on faith it will not move off that decision. It makes a commitment to stand on the Word knowing what God says will happen, and it never gives up.

God is faithful. He will give you anything you believe in because you are part of the living Spirit. God never breaks a promise, and when you have faith in that, you will be given the privilege of supreme love and be granted whatever you desire. You will be given favor wherever you go.


Programming Our Thoughts And Words

For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power
[making it active, operative, energizing, and effective];
it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the
dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the
immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest
parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing
and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.
Hebrews 4:12


"A man's (moral) self shall be filled with the fruit
of his mouth; and with the consequences of his words
he must be satisfied (whether good or evil)"
Proverbs 18:21.


As you see from the two scriptures above how essential our thoughts and words are when it comes to fatih. Our thoughts are not God's thoughts, because our thoughts come from the world. The world tells us that what we want is impossible, but God says that nothing is impossible for Him. The world's thoughts express doubt about anything that seem too difficult for the human body. God's thinks differently.

We've been programmed to think and express negatives throughout our lives! Thus it is understandable that when something horrid happens in our lives, we think it's the initial end. When the doctor tell you your cancer will take your life in 6 months or your friends tell you you will never get that Great relationship you've been been dreaming of, because there is no such thing.

And money seems to be a great problem for many. We think there is not enough to go around, so we'll come up short. Our pocketbook tells us, "You're in BIG trouble. You don't have enough to pay the rent." You listen, think those thoughts and say those words, and evicted you become. But God says, "I will alway meet your needs according to your faith".

There is power in our thoughts and words and we attract the things we think and say most often. Our thoughts and words can rescue us from any situation, or keep us in distress.


Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they
who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].
Proverbs 18:21


Every word we speak produces an effect in our lives. What you say is what you get. Your words will bring life or death to your hopes and dreams, depending upon what you say. God's words bring to us good thoughts, right thoughts, thoughts that speak constructive words.

You need to put into action the powerful words God has given you through the scriptures. You need to discipline your thoughts so your tongue speaks faith-filled words. You need self-control to chart a victorious course for your life.

If you say and you believe you WILL receive. Faith believes, therefore it speaks, and it speaks only positive words of sound belief. Never doubt the power of faith, and always give the glory to God.

Faith is what we believe in our heart to be true, and whatever we believe will be expressed in everything we say. Whatever we believe is exactly what we talk about. Our beliefs come out of our mouths and say what's on our mind, whether right or wrong. Therefore don't try to con God. He knows your heart! Don't try to seduce Him into getting what you want, you'll only succeed in bringing forth the seductions of satan.

We have to be bold when it comes to faith, by taking powerful positive words into our heart and let them flow out of our mouths. We have to speak with words of faith. "The Word is near you; It is in your mouth and in your heart, that is, the Word of faith we are proclaiming" Romans 10.

The word is here! It is in your heart! It speaks, and it comes out of your mouth when you talk. We release our faith when we speak, and when God speaks to us it is His words that come out of our mouth. They are His Words that will be spoken when we receive His Words into our heart.

God knows the faith we have in Him by our thoughts and actions, and He wants to hear faith speak. Faith says, "I will stand strong! I have complete confidence that in due season I will receive exactly as God promised.

Believe this with all your heart and faith will bring it to pass. God speaks to us through the scriptures, so when you receive a word, meditate on it, roll it over in your mind, let it sink in and don't let go.

The Word says, "I am prosperous, I am healed, I have the glory of God, I am victorious." Now you know God is working in your life, so get out of His way and let Him take over from here.

If you were going into the hospital to have surgery you would place your trust in your Doctor. You would have faith that he was going to fix whatever was wrong, and when you came out of surgery you know you would be healed again.

And certainly you wouldn't tell him how to do the surgery, and you wouldn't tell him to wake you up in the middle of it so you could help him finish the job. No, you would simply trust him, wouldn't you?

That's the way it is with God. You take your needs to the Great Physician, tell Him your troubles and what you need, and trust Him just like you do your doctor. Then you leave the rest up to Him.

Faith allows us to get involved in other things without worrying about what God is going to do. Staying busy will keep your mind occupied until your prayers are answered.

Open up your bible and find the scriptures that pertain to the problem you are having at the time, or go Here and type your problem in search, be it sickness, poverty, love, debt, healing, etc. Repeat those scriptures again and again. Keep affirming, keep trusting, have faith and praise God knowing it is done. If doubt creeps in, start glorifying Him and push all doubt out. Affirm the positives and refuse all negatives.

Noah heard from God and was told to build an ark because a great flood was comming upon the earth. Noah didn't rebel and say, "Oh Father, don't be ridiculous, that's too much work, why don't you give that job to someone else"? or "There's never been rain before, are you sure you know what you're talking about"?

Indeed not! Noah had faith in what God asked him to do, and it took him 100 years to build it. I'm sure people thought He was crazy, but Noah stood his ground. As Gloria Copeland said, "Noah wasn't in the dark, Noah was in the ark". And when the great rains fell, Noah's faith in God saved him and his family and they were blessed beyond measure.

I urge you then to do as Noah did, and when God tells you to do something, do it without doubt.

Jesus Said, "You Can Have What You Say"!

Often we create our own bad situations by wrong thinking, wrong believing, and wrong speaking. So start believing according to God's Word. Then begin making positive confessions of faith and victory over your life. ... You will never receive anything from God beyond the words you speak...

If you don't like what you have in life, then change the way you think, believe, and speaking. Instead of speaking according to natural circumstances out of your head, learn to speak God's Word from your spirit. Begin to confess God's promises of life and health and victory into your situation. Then you can begin to enjoy God's abundant life as you have what you say!"

Benny Hinn said "When you were born again the Word was made flesh in you. And you became flesh of His flesh and bone of His bone. Don't tell me you have Jesus. You are everything He was and everything He is and ever He shall be. . . . It [the new man] says, 'I am as He is.' That's what it says. As He is, so are we in this world. Jesus said, 'Go in my name, go in my stead.' Don't say, 'I have.' Say, 'I am, I am, I am, I am, I am.' That's why you never ever, ever, ever ought to say. 'I'm sick.' How can you be sick if you're the new creation? Say, 'I'm healed!' Don't say, 'I'm a sinner.' The new creature is no sinner. I'm the righteousness of God in Christ."

Charles Capps said, "Notice that when Jesus said, 'I have finished the work' [John 17:4], we know that He had nor finished the work. But I want you to catch something in the way He prayed and the way He talked--He spoke the end results. He never spoke what was. He never admitted death or defeat. . . . Jesus was speaking the end results in His prayer to the Father."

Fred Price: If you keep talking death, that is what you are going to have. If you keep talking sickness and disease, that is what you are going to have, because you are going to create the reality of them with your own mouth. That is a divine law.

If you talk about your trials, your problems, your lack of faith, your lack of money -- your faith will shrivel and dry up. But bless God, if you talk about the Word of God, your lovely Heavenly Father and what He can do -- your faith will grow by leaps and bounds. Presumably you receive what you desire if you confess in a proper manner.

"Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For by it the men of old gained approval. By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible" (Hebrews 11:1-3).

"Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance, and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God" (Hebrews 12:1-2).

God IS ABLE to make your deepest dreams come true, because your deepest dreams are His deepest dreams. You can break the power of every dirty rotten thing that comes into your life, by absorbing your thoughts in this truth and casting down everything that tries to tell you differently.

Faith calls things that be not as though they were. When you say aloud continually and boldly "God is able to make every favor and earthly blessing come to me in abundance," You'll call forth an abundance of blessings into your life.

Faith says, "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. I will prosper and become successful because You stand before me. I am well able to overcome anything because you are for me so who can stand against me! I will succeed in whatever You have called me to do. I am receiving a financial breakthrough and a supernatural canceling of debts, because You are taking me to my wealthy place.

I WILL cross the finish line and succeed in maintaining wonderful relationships. My home WILL be filled with love and I'll never be lonely again. Nothing is impossible to me because I have Your power flowing through me. And although my beginning was small, the latter end will greatly increase.

I am sufficient through God's sufficiency. I am a winner and I win every time. God gives me favor, He makes me prosper, and I have more than enough to prosper everyone wherever I go. Blessings are abounding from heaven, and I thank you Lord for giving me this abundant blessed life.

I am receiving, I am receiving, I am receiving now. I inquire, I pray you and apply myself to receive that which you swore to the fathers to give, and You make my dwelling place prosperous. I WILL flourish and peace will abound till there is a moon no longer.

I will do great things and my finances will abundantly increase, and there shall be an abundance of prosperity, health and happiness wherever I go. I love life, I love praying, I love reading and hearing the Word...I love You Who set me free to love without getting hurt. My body is healed and full of life, and I am able to dance and run and kick up my heals, and I am grateful." This is the truth!

Whenever a negative thought comes into your mind or word goes out of your mouth say aloud, "I break the power of those thoughts (or words). I cast them down and give them to you Christ Jesus." Be consistant and stand strong.

These things may not seem apparent at the moment, but as you called them, they WILL be. Say these words over and over for the next week, and when your blessing begin appearing, don't forget to give a portion unto eight so it can be returned to you in abundance.

God is able to make every favor and earthly blessing come to me in abundance. God is able to make every favor and earthly blessing come to me in abundance...God is able...

Please take the time to read all of Hebrews 11 and 12, because the realities and fullness of faith are poured out within those pages.


How to Develop A Spirit Of Faith

"If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My
words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts,
ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you."


This is the key to receiving a powerful spirit of faith. Live in Him and He will live in you. Jesus said to those Jews who had believed in Him, If you abide in My word [hold fast to My teachings and live in accordance with them], you are truly My disciples.

God loves you! He wants to have a wonderful relationship with you. He DID NOT create you and send you into the world to be defeated by His enemy. Definitely NOT! He created you for His enjoyment! How then can He enjoy you if you don't talk to Him like your best friend? How can He smile down upon you if you're too busy to read His word, words that cause you to come closer to Him? How can He remain in you if you don't believe a word He says?

Oh surely you believe there's a God, but when it comes to doing something extraordinary, dis-belief steps in. Without dwelling in the word you'll never get to know Him nor the wonderous works of His hands.

God's Words are alive, so let His Words take up permanent residence within you. Let them remain in you regardless of the circumstance, and always be faithful to them.

"And we know (understand, recognize, are conscious of, by observation and by experience) and believe (adhere to and put faith in and rely on) the love God cherishes for us. God is love, and he who dwells and continues in love dwells and continues in God, and God dwells and continues in him" 1 John 4:16.

You can develop a spirit of Faith by praying in the spirit. Jude 20 says, "But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost." Praying in other tongues is a spiritual exercise. As you spend time every day, praying in other tongues, you are keeping your spirit active rather than passive. You will be built up on your most holy faith!

God said, "I am the Lord Who heals you." If you have faith in this promise, you will be healed. But if you doubt these Words, even for a second, you lack faith and faith can't work for you.


How do we develop a spirit of faith?

The faith that heals our body, finances, soul and mind? Romans 10:17 answers this question quite explicitly. "Faith comes by hearing the Word of God (what is told), and what is heard comes by preaching (of the message that came from the lips) of Christ (the Messiah Himself).

You can develop your faith through the Word of God, for that is what activates faith and makes it grow. You cannot trust God if you do not know Him. The only way you can come to know Him is if you spend quality time alone with Him and get to know Him. Your relationship with Him will develop trust. It will ignite your faith because you are giving Him the opportunity to reveal Himself as your true creator and lover of your soul. Spending Time with God Who is invisible gives birth to the kind of faith that can change things in the visible, physical realm.

Faith activates through meditation and confession of the Word of God. Faith is an action; when you believe that you receive, you will act like it. God told Joshua, "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success" (Joshua 1:8).

Meditation reveals how to act on the Word. Confession is part of meditation. When you speak the Word to yourself, you are meditating the Word. You cannot say one thing and think something else. Whatever you meditate upon determines what you believe. Meditation and confession will cause you to believe God's Word enough to act on it in faith.

How To Dwell In God's Love

The greatest love you will ever experience is love from God. And this is the kind of love He gives...When I'm tired and cannot sleep, I ask Him to help me sleep, and away I go. Back home in Illinos, on Sunday at church my friends would ask how I always got a parking spot in front of the church door...The Love Of God. He knew I had frostbitten feet, thus in the winter He made sure my feet were safe. Even when I have a bad hair day I ask God to please fix it, and amazingly He's a wonderful beautician. When you dwell in His love, you'll be given favor wherever you go.

You will find His love in the bible, then you'll find it here on earth. Keep your attention directed on God...make a home in Him. Dwelling in the word your faith will develop, dwelling in His love your life will never be the same.

God's words are so powerful that When you take His words into your heart, like a little child, they will fill you up and gush out of you. Then alas you'll be speaking truths instead of sending words of confusion.

BEWARE! If you're receiving advise from people whose information came from anything other than God word, chances are you'll be receiving the wrong messages. If the things you are listening too are not good words, words of inspiration, then you're listening to the wrong source.

If the source is right the words will talk to you. They will take over your thought process, and when disbelief or doubt says, "Your not good enough to receive from God," or "You're nuts, God's not going to answer your prayers". If you've been taking the Words of God into your heart, your thoughts will come back to you and say, "God meets all of my needs according to His riches in glory, and I am good enough, and I will receive because God said it in His word, and He is not a man that He can lie".

It is very simple for God to work a miracle in your life no matter how difficult it seems to you. All you have to do is believe that He will do what He says, then do what He asks.

When you live by faith you can walk out the front door and leave your problems behind. God will cross the whole universe for one person who has faith. Make up a blueprint and wave it in faiths face. Make a promise to faith that you are not going to let it slip, that your going to hang on to it.


If you want to become victorious, you will have to develop a spirit of faith and be persistent in the times of trials and tribulations. You will always receive your blessings, when you believe God can do anything. You may run into hard times because the world is full of problems, but knowing God's all power, you will walk out of it triumphantly.

"May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man by the [Holy] Spirit [Himself indwelling your innermost being and personality].

May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts! May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love, That you may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints [God's devoted people, the experience of that love] what is the breadth and length and height and depth [of it]; [That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!


Did you check that out? Your body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself. How then could anything remain turbulent for long? Would you like to experience God's love right now? If you would, ask Him to shower His love down on you. Ask and you will experience His awesome presence, a strong passionate attachment that will tingle your entire being. You will feel the debts of His love, entirely different than mere human love.

Almost everyone I suggested this too experienced His awesome love, except a few. One friend said she didn't feel anything, however the next day she had an exceptionally good day. She said she knew it was God.

Open up your heart and feel the love of God. Let Him love you so you can love Him back, in the way that He expects. After all, you are His child, His little child who He loves with all His heart.

Acting On The Word

"What good is it, if a man claims to have faith but has no
deeds, faith by itself, if not accompanied by action is
dead. Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you
my faith by what I do. You see that His faith and His
actions were working together and His faith was made
complete by what he did. You see that a person is justified
by what he does and not by faith alone. As the body without
the Spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead".
James 2:14-26


Actions and deeds mean; staying in the Word, doing what the Word says to do and keep your faith alive, because there is no such thing as faith when put into action that doesn't work. God says, when you believe, trust and follow His plan of action, you will be wanting and lacking nothing.

James said faith without good works is dead, for as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. Of course you've heard the saying actions speak louder than words. Therefore regardless of what you are going through right now, you must still trust God. Your thoughts, words and actions must line up with the faith of God, knowing He is holding you under the shadow of His wings until the trial is over.

Take a scripture that pertains to your situation, then believe what God says about it. For instance, in Matthew it says that Jesus Himself took up our infirmities and carried our diseases. What do these words mean to you? What about when God said, "I will take sickness away from the midst of you."

Mary's brother Lazarus was sick - Mary was the one who anointed the Lord with perfume and wiped His feet with her hair. It was her brother Lazarus who was [now] sick. The sisters sent to Him, saying, Lord, he whom You love [so well] is sick. When Jesus received the message, He said, This sickness is not to end in death; but [on the contrary] it is to honor God and to promote His glory, that the Son of God may be glorified through (by) it.

Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. [They were His dear friends, and He held them in loving esteem.] Therefore [even] when He heard that Lazarus was sick, He still stayed two days longer in the same place where He was. See John 11:2-6.

Two day later Jesus went to help Lazarus, even though he was a good, good friend. Jesus' faith said, "He'll be okay till I get there. He won't die! I will be glorified by it and it will be made known so others will believe too.

Will you allow God to use you too? Will you allow God to finish the work He needs to do in you so others can see His works and believe as well? Or will you grumble, complain, and doubt, and believe God has forsaken you?

Surely at first it will be difficult to have this type of trust in our most horrendous times, but when we dwell in the word, those times won't seem so taxing. Acting on the word develops faith. Continually thinking and preparing yourself in the Name of Jesus, the power of God will come rolling out of you. Put the Word first above all else before a problem becomes the biggest thing in your life, then act in faith.

If worry, fear, anger, or hate appears, be rid of it at once. If someone tries to offend you, let it go, and never give in to pressure. When things seem impossible and you feel like giving up, get into the word immediately. Fill up your library with spiritual tapes and get out your bible and stay there until you're set free.

Have you ever noticed that the moment you decide to rise above, trouble comes. For this reason you will have to stand strong in the power of faith. God's Words will give you the power to overcome, then you'll see the world in a different view. You will be looking at the world through the eyes of heaven, instead of looking at the problem. So whatever you do, don't look back.

Faith doesn't look at the things that are temporary, things that are here today and gone tomorrow. It looks at the things that are eternal, things that last forever. What we see with our own eyes are temporary, they are subject to change. Anything that we see as poverty, sickness, or lack exist only in the mind and becomes extinct to the word of God. Things that last forever are God's subject, topic and theme.

Therefore I urge you my friend, desire to have faith more than any other thing, and when you do everything else will fall in place. When your faith is immovable, God will fulfill His promises by giving you mental visions. He will disclose His supernatural powers and lead you into all the truths of the Spirit.

You can act on the word the same way Jesus acted on the word in the wilderness when He was tempted by satan. Satan said to Him, "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread." Jesus used the words of God to supress the temptation and answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God."

That didn't stop satan, so he rambled on. "If you are the Son of God," he said, "throw yourself down. For it is written: " 'He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.'

Jesus contradicted him and answered, "It is also written: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.'"

Then satan promised Jesus all the riches in the world if He would bow down and worship him. Jesus fought back with these powerful words, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only. Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended Him.

When you take God's Words in, they will fill you up and spill out of you and effect every area of your life. They go beyond fixing circumstances, they erase them.

When somebody tries to feed you a word that is not written, you can believe it came from God's opposition, Satan. Click Here to learn more about your adversary. Don't listen to his lies! If you do you will be kept in confusion and never know which way is up. Do like Jesus did and come back with the words of God and satan will flee from you too.

Do you still have no faith?"

Fear keeps us from the power of God working through us, fear of poverty, sickness, loneliness, etc. But where there is faith alive in the spirit, you will never be afraid again. Faith and fear contradict one another, for where there is faith there is love, and the Bible says, "Love casts out fear." Surely it is difficult to say you are healed when the doctor just told you you had cancer, or when you haven't the money to pay your bills. But faith doesn't agree. Faith says "the Great Physician has healed me and my bills WILL be paid, because the Lord has made my way prosperous." Put the words of God into your heart and feel them with all the intensity you can muster up, and let those words flow out of your mouth. Do everything in faith and when you do Jesus will make a way before you."

Consistency Is The Key

You can pray all day long, but if your words outside of prayer are negative and that's the way you talk all the time, that's what you will bring into your life. When you are down on your knees telling God that you believe you've received all of your bills paid, in the Name of Jesus, and your phone rings and you tell your friend on the other line that you don't know how you are going to pay them, you just doubted God and blocked faith. Faith filled words have to be spoken all the time. You have to make them part of your every day conversation. If you say for one moment that you are broke, you will have exactly what you said. It's what we say all the time that makes things happen in our lives.

See yourself having the things you need in your life. See them when you are driving in your car. See them when you are doing dishes. See them when you are taking a bath. Refelct upon them continually. Go ahead, create a vision in your mind and give it to God so He can perfect it. Talk about it with God, get excited because excitement creates power to prevail.

Faith is not for the lazy person! It's for those who want to constantly grow and expand in their lives. It is for those who are tired of being beat up by everyday hassles, and for those who want to win the race of victory and beat out defeat. Consistancy takes determination, but it's well worth the effort. If you are lacking in anything; finances, skills, ideas, courage, spiritual strength, love, or health, you will find in Deuteronomy 28, that in our sins, we had destroyed our lives and cursed ourselves by all our evil doings. But in Galatians 3:13 it says that Christ redeemed us from that curse, by becoming a curse for us.

Having faith in that promise will save you, when you realize that all your needs have already been met through the blood of Christ. He has already paid the price for you, and rescued you from every bad thing in your life. Believing this truth you will be blessed coming in and going out.

Indeed it's often difficult to stay in faith through all our testing and trials, but regardless, if doubt comes about start shouting words of healing and prosperity. Call yourself healed or debt free! Start talking about how you want things to be. You will have to stop looking at your problems and start focusing on the promises of God.

"The Lord does not delay and is not tardy or slow about what He promises" II Peter 3:9. When your faith is firmly grounded, God will begin working on your situation. It may not happen immediately, but it WILL happen.

"My son, attend to my Words, incline thine ear to my sayings." Matthew 4:20.

You can make yourself believe anything you want. In order to control your thoughts, you need a positive program to put into them. You can do this by affirming good thoughts over and over again until they take over your thought proccess.

Scripture says to think on these things: "whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things" Philippians 4:8.

When God's Words are studied and listened too, they are life to those who find them and health to their entire bodies. They are the medicine for all that ails them, and a healing potent to whoever discovers them.

When you claim God's Words as your own, you will receive His strength and powers. You will possess His wisdom, health, creativity, and abilities. You will be delivered His joy, peace and happiness, and when you start receiving these qualities they will get down into your body, soul and spirit.

Start programming those positive words into your system until you begin feeling the power, the power that produces results. Feed yourself until you feel the power operating in your life and your needs have been fulfilled.

Okay, you may be saying at this moment, "I can't just ignore my problems"! No you can't, but according to God's Word, "They are only temporary", they will change if you stay in the Word, because God will show you how to release them.

If you want to fully envelope yourself in the power of faith, you'll not be able to entertain a hopeless thought about your situation. All God requires from you is to ONLY BELIEVE! It's that simple.

In the book of Joshua it says, "Do not let this book of the law depart from your mouth, meditate on it day and night, so you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful".

You need to program yourself to speak words from the scriptures instead of idle chitter chatter that lead you astray. You need to meditate on those Words day in and day out.

Meditate is a continual thought process; to reflect on; to contemplate, consider carefully, muse or think. Think means to reason, judge, calculate, recognize, conceive, imagine, decide and choose. Whatever you think will go into your heart, and as you decide, choose, or reason, will determine who you are in every area of your life.

"For a man thinketh in his heart so is he." What we think goes into our heart and comes out of our mouths, and those words reveal who we are. If you are trying to hide from yourself, the truth will tell on you if you aren't careful what you say. If you have not taken God's Words in, you will be speaking words of hate, bitterness, backstabbing, and anger. Everyone will see your shadow of gloom and will walk the other way.

Being consistent in the Word, a light will shine on that shadow and cause a spirit of gladness, and that cloud of gloom will drift away. The way to abundant success is being consistant at all times, controlling your thoughts, watching your mouth, and let God speak through you.


Exercise:

Here's what I want you to do for the next week.

1. Every morning when you get up say this powerful affirmation ten times, "I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me".

2. At noon repeat these words ten times, "I am healed mentally, emotionally, physically, and financially, HALLELUJAH!!! Praise The Lord!

3. Before you retire at night say these words 10 times with conviction, "You are the God Who heals me and I am healed beyond measure".

4. Tonight tell God 5 things you were thankful for today. Tell Him every evening for the next month.
