Chapter 3

The Faith Factor "Confidence"

And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege
of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if
we ask anything (make any request) according to His will
(in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us.

God wants us to have confidence in Him. He wants us to come bodly before His thone and share our deepest secrets with Him. He wants us to commit ourselves and depend on Him completly.

He wants our confidence knowing that His promises will eventually become our reality, regardless of what it looks like, or feels like, or seems like at the time. He wants us to be confident, knowing He has everything under control.

"Cast Not Away Therefore Your Confidence,
which Hath Great Recompence of Reward.

What do you believe God is doing for you at this moment? Do you believe He is working on your situation? When you have confidence it is sure to happen, but the timing will be up to God and your willingness to prepare yourself for it. When the time is right, it will happen, but not until. When your faith in the matter is unmoving and your life has been adjusted to receive accordingly, you will begin to see wonderful things unfolding right before your very eyes.

The Prepation Period

Between the time we ask and the time we receive is the preparation period. This is the time the going will get tough and the tough will get going, so in this crucial period keep your faith and do not give up. When your faith stands against this time, you will win the victory.

But beware because satan is going to try and stop you from receiving. He will use all of the tricks it has up its sleeve to keep you from your just rewards; from your goal; from your prize. He will try to keep you from getting to that place that we call "Heaven here on earth," because satan rules the world and he will do whatever it takes to get you to quit too soon, right before the finish line.

He will try to fill you with confusion by placing doubts in your mind and play on your emotions. But you can survive these attacks that try to keep you from the promises and from the faith that is needed to receive them, because you have been given over seven thousand promises for your survival. Thus satan has its work cut out for him. You will need to put on the full armor of God and stay in the promises when he comes into attack.

"Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

God is no respector of persons however, neither is Satan. Satan doesn't select any one person to attack. He uses anyone who lets him in order to conterdict God's Word, and he torments anyone and everyone. He won't pick on you because you're special - he uses whoever will let him get away with it, and we all fall short on this one. But God will be sitting on the sidelines cheering you on. He knows you will win, and He won't give up until you do.

This is How he Works:

God gives you His Word of honor; He receives your hopes and dreams and the war is on. From the time your ideas are conceived until the promises become your reality, satan bombards and attacks God's Word. He sets out to destroy God's promises, and it attacks your expectations. He intervenes and pries at your brain, trying to open you up to his way of thinking so you will see things his way, instead of God's way.

Continuing on, he attempts to make you see things the way "you" understand them here in the world, causing you to see things logically, which is illogical. He will try your patience so you will go ahead of God's plans and try to figure it out yourself, which is impossible.

When a negative thought come to you it will say, "You don't stand a chance, God will never be able to do that for you, you fool," then you go ahead and try to do it yourself, which was satan's plan in the first place, and there goes your faith which brings on sin, and sin brings on death. Your dreams die, ego defeats God and God gets the blame. You lose, God loses and satan goes on to the next person, laughing all the way home. Satan will kill, steal and destroy everything you seek to do if you don't keep your confidence in God.

Trying to move God before He's ready, trying to figure it our ourselves, the whole plan backfires and dies. You will have succeeded solely in satisfying your own feelings, which are temporary at best, and since it wasn't done out of faith God couldn't speak to faith for you, therefore faith couldn't work.

We need to stay out from under satan's control, thus when you feel you are buckling under and doubt begins setting in, "REPENT". Admit to God at once that you have sinned and make it right with Him. God always forgives when you ask for forgiveness with a sincere heart, then resist the devil and get back on God's path again. When you repent it breaks the control of satan and you're set free.

Entertaining negative thoughts makes you succeptable to harassment, for satan takes that negative and magnifies it causing it to seem worse than what it actually is. Scripture says to rebuke satan and he will flee, but beware because he will be back the moment you let your guard down.

We have confident and hopeful courage and are pleased rather
to be away from home out of the body and be at home with the Lord.
II Corinthians 5:8

Being in our fleshly bodies our judgement is disrorted, thus we place our confidence in ourselves. We praise and pat ourselves on the backs and place a high opinion on ourselves. Consequently, being prideful, we carry a lie. Pride stems from self-doubt and insecurities. It roots when we accept the bad things people say about us, and believe we are other than what God created us to be. When we learn to untangle from all false accusations and put our confidence in God where it belongs, we will move about without restraints. Realizing we cannot do anything on our own, blessings flow freely.

Blessings come when we free ourselves from the restraints that say, "I am the important one". Place your full confidence in God and hope only in Him, then your home will be a happy one.

"Do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to preserver so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised" Hebrews 10:35-37.

God is reliable, and He has proven this to me many times. Coming from a family where trust did not exist, I have gone through life unable to trust anyone. I relied on my own confidence, but now I realize it was Jesus footsteps that carried me through the sand. I have received many extraordinary miracles, and I am living proof as to where the power lies.

Placing confidence in ourselve we throw away the true meaning of love, because God is love, and without Him we cannot love ourselves. "We love because he first loved us."Our trust is in that love, and that is where our salvation lies. Therefore let's start taking God at His Word because its time to overcome sickness, disease, poverty, lack and all the disappointments of the world. We love because he first loved us.

Do You Want To Get Well?

Do you want to be healed from your situation? If you do, then pick up your mat and walk. What's stopping you? Belief is the victory that overcomes the world. Put your confidence in that. We take people for granted, let's begin taking God's promises for granted and reap the rewards.

The words of God are operating power, and when you have confidence in what He says, He will let you in on His knowledge and Wisdom. He will shower down upon you His omnificent love, and you will feel safe wherever you go. He will put icing on your cake, then decorate it for you. "So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my Helper". I will not be seized with alarm (I will not fear or dread or be terrified)" Hebrews 13:6.

Having faith in God is a very secure and comforting feeling. It inspires us to create, knowing we have the ability through Christ to receive whatever we need. Whenever we ask for help He comes to our aid so our plans can advance to a more desirable state.

God is your helper, so you need to confide in Him by asking for His help at all times. It is good to ask for others too, but if we are not healed, the right message cannot be conveyed in order to help. We need to begin by asking God to help us, without the fear of seeming selfish.

We need to ask with confidence, knowing He will help, and remove all fear of not receiving. Where there is confidence, all interference is removed and our problems are solved. The only problem that stands in the way is a lack of faith.

The truth will come into any situation when faith is not denied and it is placed where it rightfully belongs. When the truth is sought, the joining of the minds, God and ours, will remove all difficulty. Separating ourselves from God there will be oppression, but once reunited the tug of war is over.

Faith must be at its peak to connect with the goal God has in mind for us, and that goals reality will bring fourth every miracle that is needed to carry it out. God's Spirit is within along with your goal, and the power it possesses has great strength. It calls to everyone to share in your purpose. When we share in God's goal, we become free and unite with peace, because our relationship with Him sets us apart from the agonies of loneliness.

In Him and through faith in Him we may
approach God with freedom and confidence.

God is an Awesome God. You do not have to be afraid to come boldly to Him in complete confidence and tell Him whatever is on your mind. And when you confide in Him and tell Him your hopes and dreams, He'll confide in you and tell you the hopes and dreams He has for you. When we ask for His will, instead of ours, an answer is always given. God's heart goes out to those who trust Him...those who believe in Him and the promises He has given. Disbelief in the promises tells God we think He is a liar. If someone called you a liar, why then would you go out of your way to give them something extraordinary?

God is not hard to please. He wants you to call to Him. He loves hearing His Name, "Father, Father", and He wants a relationship with you. If you are trying to please Him in order to get what He has already given because you lack of confidence, it becomes a struggle; a bodily effort.

"All (things that are) Mine are Yours, and all (things that are) Yours belong to Me; and I am glorified in (through) them. They have done Me honor; in them My glory is achieved" John 17:10.

Everything God has belongs to us, and everything we have belongs to Him. If we give everything we have to Him, such as love, gratitude, honor, kindness, respect, and confidence, He gives it back to us. If we give Him everything we have confidence in; our money, relationships, business and ourselves, He will give you what He has. When we give Him our all, we become confident and capable, but only through His capabilities.

You see, God has already given us everything He has, and when we put our confidence in Him instead of our money, other people, and ourselves, which will always let us down, we "will never be put to shame, or disappointed in our expectations" Romans 9:33. When we quit putting our trust in "things" and other people to fulfill our needs, and put our trust in God, we will never be let down.

Asking God for something we need, if we place our confidence in that need and we didn't receive, our spirit would lower if we didn't know He had a better plan for us. Placing our confidence in our desires instead of Gods, those desires would not fulfill, however, placing our confidence in God, we receive His plan and His plan satisfies.

"And there shall be stability in your times, an abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge" Isaiah 33:6. Wow! Look at that. Stability, which means having the ability to withstand pressure, force, or stress. This sets us free from defects and flaws, and gives us security, steadiness and strength. And that means now (your time), not just in eternity, but now is the time.

Isaiah says there shall be an abundance of salvation which gives us personal liberty rights to be free from danger. We are also given wisdom to make right decisions and insight so we can have a deep, mature understanding about everything that comes into our lives. There shall be an abundance of knowledge and wisdom so we can know the truth about any situation, including our ideas and abilities. God has given us all the information we will ever need, when we need it. We can have it all when we have faith. Amazing! Who wouldn't put their confidence in that?

Stop resisting God and begin cooperating with His method of operation because His method works a whole lot faster. God can get things done, and He can do them instantly when we give up the fight by trying to do it ourselves and turn it over to Him.

Surrendering to His ways and means, we are born again and automatically become righteous. This simply means right standing, doing things right, and that is part of the inheritance of God. But, we have to be de-programmed from our past, through experience, so anything that is standing in the way of progress can be worked out. Once you come under the influence of God, He will show you how to go back through your bad experiences, and our confidence in Him will bring us out of and into His glory.

He will show you personally why you can't put your confidence in other people, and why you can't put your confidence in yourself. He will take you through situations to show you why "It won't work", and this is a process that takes time. It doesn't happen overnight. Depending upon what you went through, will depend on the time it will take to straighten it out.

Going through these trying times, your confidence in God will help you understand that all the unhappiness and disappointments you will encounter will be the greatest consideration He could ever do for you. He will fix whatever is wrong and make you into a new creation, a creation that is like His image. During this period, if you put your confidence in anything or anybody above Him, He will place obsticals in the way. So get ready because He is going to show you how to totally depend upon Him, and the harder you resist, the harder you will make it on yourself.

Once you decide to depend totally on God, your greatest dreams will be fulfilled. You will reach your maximum potential. Fear will no longer exist, and you will experience genuine joy and happiness.

Knowing who we are in Christ our confidence in God grows, then the gates open to the true love of self, acceptance, and approval. Blame and guilt will pass into feelings of worthiness, and victory will prevail. Thus you will be free to make mistakes and have the courage to try again. You will feel free to be yourself and you will love God over man. All these things come when we are "IN" Christ. "So neither he who plants is anything nor he who waters, but (only) God Who makes it grow and becomes greater" I Corinthians 3:7.

We, the ones who plant the seeds of desire into our hearts, are nothing when we stand by ourselves. We must understand that we can't do anything without God, because if we get what we ask for without Him it will rot as soon as it's received.

Only through the grace of God can we receive in a perfect way, and only through Him will we be able to enjoy it and watch it grow into its greatest effects.

BLOOD RELATIONS

"Do you not discern and understand that you are God's
temple, and that God's Spirit has His permanent dwelling in you".
Corinthians 3:16

You are God's child, and He dwells within and He is not going to leave you. Knowing He has taken up permanent, lasting, and indefinite residence, then how in the world could anything ever go wrong unless "YOU" let it happen?

You have the power within to receive your most intense desires. Nothing can stop you, because with God within nothing can cause you to stumble and nothing can cause you to fall. He has made you His temple therefore you are one, and if anyone should harm you they would be harming Him, and He will prevent that from happening.

Having God in my life has been the greatest blessing of all. He has become my best friend, the confidant I have always longed for, the family I lost, and the strength to prove to others that you can have it all through Christ. And listen to this - - - "Although my father and my mother have forsaken me, yet the Lord will take me up (adopt me as His Child)" Psalm 27:10.

"Even as (in His love) He chose us (actually picked us out for Himself as His own) in Christ before the foundations of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love" Ephesians 1:4.

Do feel like life has abandoned you? Do you feel as if you've been left all alone? If perhaps you do, these precious words will ease the pain, for you have been adopted. Yes, adopted by the Father Almighty, and you have been taken in especially, chosen, picked, by God to be His own child. You have been literally selected and singled out to be a child of God.

Open up your ears and listen to these endearing words. If you feel you were kicked aside and left all alone, God will come to you, pick you up, and carry you home. He will set you next to Him at His table, feed you, cloth you, and give you your hearts desire. You will be His special and prized possession.

Even though you may not be in Christ yet, you have been chosen and God has taken you in, and He is getting ready at this moment to place His Spirit inside of you. If you are not born again, you can be...simply go Here.

God has a BIG heart, and He suffers when we suffer and have a difficult time. If you have been sitting on the side of the road, look around and you will see your Father sits beside you. He will take you in and clean you up, even though He knows you tough and tried. He knows what you've been through, and although you may rebel, He will work with you and bring out all the love that's lost. And in His love and patience He will re-create a specimen in the likeness of Himself.

He chose you before the creation of the world. You have been set apart, blessed and chosen for a higher purpose, and are held blameless in His eyes, because of His love. What an awesome Father! "Therefore, you are no longer a slave (bond servant) but a son; and if a son, then (it follows that you are) an heir by the aid of God, through Christ" Galatians 4:7.

Jesus gave His life, as you would give money to bond someone out of jail, or to pay a ransom for a kidnapping, to bring us out of sin and death. We are no longer slaves to anything or anyone, but a son, a blood relation, through the blood He shed. You are now an heir to everything He has. Jesus already died, He was buried, which means you can receive your inheritance now. Thus He was resurrected so He will show you how to receive.

Little do some know that they have already been granted this great gift, but haven't received because they don't belive they are deserving. But God said, "Come, and let him who is listening say, Come! And let anyone come who is thirsty (who is painfully conscious of his need of those things by which the soul is refreshed, supported, and strengthened); and whoever (earnestly) desires to do it, let him come, take, appropriate, and drink the water of life without cost" Revelations 22:17.

God is saying, "Come and get it! Receive your inheritance. It is yours". So listen to Him and receive what He wants to give you. The only thing that is standing in the way is your conscious, a feeling of being unworthy of this gift.

If you don't believe you're ready yet you may die of thirst, so get your needs in order, sort them out, and arrange them so they are acceptable to the desires God has for you. He is giving you life in the fullest, and He is doing this at no expense to you. Its absolutely free.

If you are struggling and frustrated because you have given and given, and are trying to buy your way into the kingdom, you can forget it. God says you can have your inheritance free of charge.

Of course we enjoy helping others, but we can't buy God, He isn't for sale. He wants you to quit working so hard to receive His love and take what He is offering you, without all the effort. He is giving this to you because of His love, and for no other reason. This is not a bribe to win His love.

For if we are faithful to the end, trusting
God just as firmly as when we first believed,
we will share in all that belongs to Christ.
Hebrews 3:14

Hold on to your confidence and remain unshaken and firm until the very end. Keep believing, keep praying, keep hoping until you see the results of your faith.

God is gracious and He wants you to have everything He has. Give yourself to Him competely so He can undo what you have done, then have faith that He will remove every obstacle that stands in the way of your drinking from the fountain of life. You are His blood relation, so receive what rightly belongs to you, and enjoy.
